Překládám anotaci práce do angličtiny. Dává to smysl?

Dává to smysl. Nebo jsou tam chyby a není tomu rozumět? Díky.

The topic of this thesis is the design and implementation of web application for managing orders in restaurants. Applications will accelerate and simplify work and will serve as a complete POS system. The thesis describe current accessible POS systems for restaurants, then outlines how he would implement such a system. Then are selected implementation techniques, system functions and the application is designed and implemented. Finally, the proposed hardware and software for the final run in restaurant.

Zaměřte se na:

1) Členy; 2) Shody přísudku s podmětem 3) Sémantické kolize (thesis vs he would implement) 4) Poslední dvě souvětí jsou mimo syntakticky a sémanticky.

Resumé: Nechte to přeložit někomu kompetentnímu. Nicméně viděl jsem i horší "překlady". Toodles.

P.S.: Vykašlete se na přímý transfer gerundů přímo do angličtiny, nedělá to dobrotu.

Klidně to hodím sem.

Tématem diplomové práce je návrh a implementace webové aplikace pro správu objednávek v restauračních zařízeních. Hotová aplikace bude číšníkům zrychlovat a zjednodušovat práci a bude sloužit jako kompletní pokladní systém.

Práce zahrnuje současný stav již hotových pokladních systémů pro restaurace, po té nastiňuje jak by se dal takovýto systém implementovat. Dále jsou vybrány implementační techniky, jsou stanoveny veškeré funkce systému a na jejich základě je aplikace navržena a následně naimplementována. Nakonec je navrženo hardwarové a softwarové vybavení pro finální spuštění v restauraci.

This thesis focuses on drafting and implementing a web application used for order management in restaurants, pubs and other such businesses in the hospitality industry. When finished, the application will work as a full-fledged POS system and make waiters' jobs easier and quicker.

The thesis opens with existing POS systems for restaurants and then proceeds to explain how to implement such system. Next, implementation methods are chosen, all system functions are outlined and finally, the application is drafted and implemented. Lastly, hardware and software equipment is suggested to ensure a proper launch in a restaurant.

Takový překlad zdarma je lepší než drátem do oka, nicméně nasazen reálně by být neměl, tedy alespoň ne v současné formě.

Get off that high horse of yours, mate...the mere fact you have a degree/certificate doesn't mean you're the only one capable of producing a viable translation. 99 % of population (including clients) use language to convey a message instead of jacking it over exact grammar concepts or whatever it is you think I've done wrong.

Oh and if you didn't spend a portion of your life in an English speaking country, it's either sheer arrogance or perhaps mildly entertaining to claim you're like a native speaker (unless you compare yourself to US rednecks, that is).

Tady nejde od ad hominem, nekritizuji Vás, ale ten text. Mluvím k věci. Třeba si z toho něco vezmete a Vaše práce bude lepší; o to tady jde, ne?

Takže si to rozeberme. Je třeba udělat čáru mezi copywritingem a obecným překladem, který má být ekvivalentní. V překladu je řada naprosto redundantních explicitací. Toto je nejspíš nejčetnější nedostatek. Text není překlad, ale adaptace, je to prakticky copywriting inspirovaný zadáním.

Dále systémová mezijazyčná převedení nejsou nejvhodnější. Gramatika (implement such a system).
