Dear Affiliates,

As you are probably already aware Google lifted its long-standing global ban on pay-per-click (PPC) advertising by UK gambling companies in November 2008 allowing UK white listed companies to bid on gambling phrases targeting users from Great Britain on google.co.uk. Not long after, the opening of Adwords bidding to online gambling companies was extended to allow UK affiliate marketers, enabling them to also bid on gambling terms.

We just wanted to remind our affiliates of the following T&Cs as stated on the Betfred Sports Affiliates website:

“Keyword restrictions apply, Betfred conducts their own keyword buying and affiliates are prohibited from purchasing keywords, search terms or other identifiers that position them above the official Betfred sponsored link. Any affiliate found to be in breach of this will be removed from the program.”

We do not allow any of our affiliates to bid on our brand, using any of the search engines, at any time of the week or weekend. We are regularly checking this so you will be caught if you are bidding at any time. If you are unsure that any phrase or keyword is an infringement of the Betfred Affiliates Terms and Conditions please can you send an email to affiliates@betfred.com and we will confirm whether you are allowed to bid on this or not.

If you have any questions or need any of the above explained in further detail please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any of the members of the Betfred Affiliate Team.

Kind regards,

Betfred Affiliates
