How did you integrate data sciences/analysis in your skill set/path?

Hey All, I'm a long-time lurker, now I've finally decided to join in. I've been in marketing since 2014, at the young age of 23. Over the last 2 years I've specifically focused on paid media, PPC being my main focus. I've done relatively well for myself. Through my role in PPC I've become an avid lover of all things data. Whether it's processing, analysing it to presenting it. My knowledge in Excel has exponentially developed. Now I'm heavily intrigued by data sciences. I've started learning languages such as R and Python on Code Academy. Which I'm enjoying. My question was, for those who have done the same journey. What would you recommend? What languages should I start with first. What courses or external training would you recommend?
