PHP Developer – Team Lead

Who we are:

We are a successful international digital advertising-technology company. We operate a proprietary multi-channel traffic platform which serves hundreds of publishers and advertisers around the world. Our platform allows publishers (traffic resources) to sell targeted and filtered internet traffic advertisers through real-time bidding auctions (RTB). We also measure sales performance in real-time: we process advertiser conversions and report to publishers. We support various types of channels, both direct-redirects, and programmatic-feeds. The volume of traffic is in the hundreds of millions of requests a day, which is processed by our globally distributed Python/Redis back-end. We store data in aggregate in Percona-MySQL and at the same time as individual records in a column-oriented database (billions of stored requests allow us to analyze previous performance trends, filter efficiency or "ad fraud" incidents with the maximum possible granularity). The key features of the platform are tracking and monetization. Python back-end takes care of filtering, auctions, and statistics, PHP front-end for reporting traffic and cash flows, both for clients and especially internally. We started to build a new front-end platform on Nette 3.0 and we have completed CRM and payment modules; We are waiting for an upgrade of internal reporting and customer interfaces.

Who we are looking for:

PHP Developer – Team Lead

We are searching for a knowledgeable PHP developer who can organize our growing team of developers. This person will be responsible for coordinating the IT team to develop new features for our ever-changing company. This person will coordinate with the Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to deliver departmental needs while prioritizing IT features and updates in a logical way. We are looking for an analytical person who can work with “big” data in many contexts and dimensions, someone who can solve IT-related problems. This position is ideal for someone who has management aspirations. This person will become a key part of our small IT team.

What you will do:

Responsible for a team of approximately 5 developers in developing and supporting new features

Responsible for analysis of company needs and priorities and developing features to improve or progress them

Analyze data and spec out new features from A-Z

Manage IT pipeline and prioritization process

Improve workflows and processes

Use your knowledge of PHP and logical thinking to create new products

Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff

Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

What you’ll need for this position:

Solid PHP, Nette, MySQL, and Git knowledge

Communicate around complex topics in English and In Czech

Basic experience with web tracking is beneficial

Experience with online ad operations

Experience with Agile, Jira, or ClickUp is preferred

Ability to multi-task and work independently

Effective communication skills, professional presentation, orientation on problem-solving

Ability to lead a team

Strong business awareness
